- For the first, you have to download and install the Rufus program. There are so many sites that you can visit to download it. But you can download HERE
- Second, plug on the USB Drive to your laptop or Personal Computer (PC). Then open the Rufus program. then, your USB Flash Drive will automatically detected. After that, click the DVD drive button seem likes this picture bellow (focus on the arrow)
- Third, search for the Windows 10 ISO file, then choose Open. Make sure that the format of the file is ISO not the other.
- For the fourth, your USB Flash Drive already to be bootable. If you want, you can also need to Rename the USB Flash Drive on new volume label. For the other settings, it doesn’t need to be changed. Let it be set up by the default. After that, click on start to start the movement of ISO file process to the USB Flash Drive.
- The fifth one, If you get the notification which consists of that all data which exist on the USB Flash Drive will be removed. So make sure that you have been moved your important data to another device. If it done, click OK.
- Next steps, the file movement process is running. This process will take in a few minutes. After that, if the green progress bar has been filled. Then the USB Flash Drive is already to be used to windows 10 installation.
The installation media has been already. The next step that you have to do is set BIOS to boot from USB Drive for first time.
Set BIOS to boot from USB Flash Drive Before Install Windows 10 From USB
1. First, make sure that you plug off the USB Flash Drive. After that, restart your laptop or your Personal Computer (PC).
2. Press the DEL (Delete) icon to enter to the BIOS. The most general button that you can use to enter to the BIOS are F1, F2, F10, DELETE, or Fn+F2, depend on what kind of your laptop and your motherboard.
3. Third, you will see the display of the BIOS in the picture below, and use right and left button on keybord to move menu to BOOT.
4. Seems like what you have seen on Boot menu that device on the first line is a Hard Drive. It means that, your laptop or your personal computer will be booting for the first time from the hard disk.
5. Fifth, in order that your laptop or your Personal Computer (PC) booting for the first time through USB Flash Drive. You need to put the USB Drive or Removable Devices to the first line. It was an easy way. You just need to click the Removable Devices then drag it on by using +/_ until the line is on the top position.
6. Notes of How to Install Windows 10 From USB drive:
Usually, the BIOS will directly detect your USB Flash Drive based on the brand of your USB Flash Drive. For example: USB Kingston or Toshiba it doesn’t detect with a Removable Devices.
7. The sixth is to save the setting you have done, move it to the Exit tab, choose Exit Saving Changes then click Yes.
